The Artist & Practice

McRoberts’ practice explores memory, resilience and women’s lived experiences. Through processes of construction, rupture, fire and repair, she creates works that consider what is remembered, what is lost and what remains.

Working predominantly with clay, McRoberts is drawn to the material's capacity to hold traces of touch, transformation and time. Her work moves between the personal and collective, drawing upon mythology, social history and acts of remembrance.

Alongside her sculptural practice, she creates small ceramic works and objects from her studio in Bangor.

McRoberts holds a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art from Belfast School of Art.
