2. The work

All ceramic works offered through this website are made individually by Amy McRoberts in her studio.

Because the work is handmade, each piece will have its own character. Variations in form, dimensions, glaze, colour, texture, surface and firing are natural characteristics of handmade ceramics.

These variations are not considered faults where they are consistent with the description and photographs provided for the individual work.

Where a particular characteristic is especially significant to a piece, this will be reflected in its product description.

3. Product descriptions and photographs

Every effort is made to ensure that descriptions, dimensions, photographs and other information provided on the website are accurate.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device or display settings.

Measurements are approximate and may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of the work.

Where an item is unique, the photographs shown will normally represent the actual piece you will receive.

4. Prices

All prices displayed on the website are in pounds sterling (£).

The price applicable to your purchase is the price displayed at the time your order is placed.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown before you complete your purchase.

5. Payment

Payment is made through the payment options provided at checkout.

Payment must be completed before an order is dispatched.

The website does not store your complete payment card details. Payment information is processed by the relevant payment service provider used by the website.

6. Placing an order

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement or confirmation by email.

Your order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected item. A contract for the sale of the item will be formed when the order is accepted and confirmed.

If an item becomes unavailable or I am unable to fulfil an order, I will contact you as soon as possible and provide a full refund for any payment already made.

You should check your order details carefully before completing your purchase.

7. Delivery

Website orders are currently available for delivery within:

  • United Kingdom

  • Republic of Ireland

Orders are packaged carefully in the studio and sent using Royal Mail.

Orders will normally be dispatched within [3–5 working days] of receiving payment, unless a different timeframe is stated on the individual product page.

Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance and may vary, particularly during busy periods or around public holidays.

Delivery charges and available delivery options will be shown at checkout before payment is completed.

If there is an unexpected delay affecting your order, I will contact you where reasonably possible.

8. International orders

International shipping is not currently available for direct purchase through this website.

Customers outside the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland may contact the studio regarding the purchase of a work.

International purchases may be arranged individually, with delivery method, costs and any applicable customs, duties or taxes agreed before the purchase is completed.

9. Larger sculptural works

Larger sculptures and works that are unsuitable for standard postal delivery are not available for direct delivery through the online shop.

Enquiries regarding the purchase, collection or transportation of larger works should be made directly with the studio.

Where appropriate, delivery or collection arrangements and associated costs will be agreed individually before purchase.

10. Returns and your right to cancel

Returned items should be unused and returned in their original condition, with original packaging where reasonably possible.

Unless an item is faulty, incorrect or not as described, you will normally be responsible for the cost of returning an item when exercising your statutory cancellation rights.

The cost of the original standard delivery will normally be refunded where you exercise your statutory cancellation right.

Refunds will be made within the period required by applicable consumer law.

Items excluded from the right to cancel

Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right, including goods that are made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.

Where this applies to a commissioned or personalised work, this will be discussed and made clear before the purchase is confirmed.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits any statutory consumer rights.

11. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

All works are inspected and carefully packaged before leaving the studio.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from its description, please contact me as soon as possible.

Please provide photographs of the item and, where relevant, its packaging. This helps me understand what has happened and determine the appropriate resolution.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.

12. Handmade characteristics

The nature of handmade ceramics means that no two pieces will be completely identical.

Glaze variation, slight differences in form, firing marks, texture and other evidence of the making process are considered part of the character of the work.

These characteristics should not be confused with damage or manufacturing defects.

Care instructions, where relevant, will be included with the work or provided in its product description.

13. Intellectual property

All artwork, sculpture, photography, written content, designs and other original material displayed on this website belong to Amy McRoberts unless otherwise stated.

The material may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified or used commercially without prior written permission.

Purchasing an artwork or ceramic object does not transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights in the work.

14. Website information

I make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date.

However, occasional errors, omissions or changes may occur.

I reserve the right to update product information, prices, availability and website content when necessary.

15. Privacy

Personal information provided when placing an order, making an enquiry or otherwise using this website will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the website, the way the studio operates or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will always be published on this page.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable in Northern Ireland.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the law of the country in which you live.
